Perhaps it all started out with some small worry or symptom and then it snowballed into something unmanageable. Maybe you're sick of just "managing." Maybe it came out of the blue. Some instinct told you something wasn't quite right, but you couldn't put your finger on it. You have physical symptoms, but the doctors can't seem to find a "reason". Perhaps you tried to talk about it but didn't know where to start or maybe you were rebuffed. You suspect your friends are tired of hearing about it. Maybe they just don't know how to talk about it. It might be time for professional assistance.
Emotional health is just one part of total wellness. That's why I offer a holistic approach to psychotherapy. In individual therapy, we can work together to examine how we can improve your satisfaction with your mind, body and spirit. I offer culturally competent counseling and a socio-political perspective too, so clients can also use counseling as a tool for insight and personal development. We will examine your environment and put together a plan to make it more healthy and functional for you. In therapy, it's not just about who you were before or where you will be after, in therapy where you came from and what you are matters too.
Some of the reasons you might consider therapy:
Conflicts at work
Conflicts at home
Stress Management
Sleep and Dream Disturbances
Questions about your spirituality
Support during illness
Exploration of your identity
Support during important life transitions
Immigration Trauma and Acculturation stress
Depression
Anxiety
Grief
Trauma
