Sessions:

After a brief consultation session, where we will decide if I can help you and if you would want to work with me,  we will meet a few more times to create a treatment plan that includes an estimated length of service.  Nothing is ever set in stone and the client retains self determination, so we can always negotiate something new! 

Sessions are not all just talk therapy.  Sessions with children may be conducted under a make-shift sofa-fort.  Teens may want to read their poetry aloud.  Families may be asked to act out their dramas. Couples may use crayons to find common ground and individuals may recount their dreams while the office is lit only by candles. If clinically appropriate, I might even conduct an occasional session at your home! 

Initial consultations are generally 30 minutes long.  Regular sessions are offered in 50 minute intervals at two locations. I am pleased to see you in Brooklyn or Manhattan. Please arrive 10 minutes early to our initial session so that we can go over some paperwork. 


Rates:
Regular session rates are offered on a sliding scale.
Initial consultations are shorter in length and are currently being offered at $50.
Home visits may cost extra. Group members can expect to be charged a flat fee for their participation.
Family therapy is slightly more expensive, but generally the length of treatment is shorter. Please contact me for more information. 

Treatment can be paid for via cash or check.  Clients may also choose paypal, but be aware that there may be a small transactional fee. 


Insurance:
At this time I do not accept insurance. However, you may want to contact your insurance company to find out about out-of-network, out-of-pocket reimbursement. Don't forget to ask how much they reimburse and for how many sessions!  I can provide you with a receipt or invoice if required. 


Cancellation Policy:
If you think you may not be able to keep your appointment, please call me more than 24 hours in advance. 48 hours is preferred. If you do not call within the allotted time frame, you will be charged the full price of the session.
